The latest edition of Talking Fingers Magazine is designed by Anudeep Kandula and compiled by Anand Shiva – and this time, we’re exploring the incredible world of Sensory Processing!
This issue beautifully captures how the world around us interacts with the world within us – a delicate, powerful dance of senses, emotions, and experiences. The cover image brings this idea to life, while the inner pages feature sensory fidgets as elements that are invaluable to individuals with sensory processing differences.
Each page of this edition invites you to step into another’s sensory world, to feel what soothes, overwhelms, or comforts them. These stories and artworks, created by AAC users and neurodivergent individuals, remind us that every person experiences the world in their own beautiful way. When we take time to understand those differences, we build bridges of empathy and belonging.
Here’s a small way to make a big difference: add a quiet space, some sensory fidgets, or a soft corner in your classroom or home. Sometimes, a calm moment or a familiar texture can help someone feel seen, safe, and understood.
This month, let’s celebrate the many ways we sense, connect, and find joy in the world and continue to make it a gentler place for every mind and every sense.
