We’re truly grateful to have Ms.Umayal Subramaniam as part of our volunteer team, Anupam Mitr. A fourth-generation educationist and an Early Childhood Educator with over a decade of experience, Umayal runs her own play school in Thanjavur and also serves on the board of three other schools in the city. She loves seeing the world through little eyes and is deeply committed to inspiring people to give back to society in ways that truly matter. A storyteller, blogger, and poet, she is the author of “Doodle with Words – Sketches of Life”, and is also a core team member and Awareness Ambassador of the parent support group Spectrum: The Awareness Project.
As an Anupam Mitr, Umayal has played a meaningful role in taking the work of Anupam Prayaas Foundation into schools and classrooms, helping our stories and messages of inclusion reach more children and educators. Through her efforts, our resources have been shared at Alphabets Play School, Thanjavur; Bambino Play School, Thanjavur; Kalalaiya Play School, Thanjavur; and Kamala Subramaniam Secondary School, Thanjavur. She has also helped extend this journey to Bluebells Play School, Chennai by ensuring our books reached there.
